The Doctor’s Orders are synonymous with Underground Hip-Hop and tonight present a unique live show featuring the very best MC talent from both sides of the pond, followed by another classic line up for their monthly On The Real night. With artists coming in from Detroit & New York to perform alongside London’s finest the real heads will be out in force!
Frank Nitt is one half of the incredible Detroit duo Frank & Dank who first came to prominence through their work with the legendary late producer J-Dilla. Tonight he will be performing some of their classic tracks while concentrating on new material from his Fracture project alongside Munich based producer Blumentopf and his new Delicious Vinyl release “Jewels In My Backpack”. Expect the usual tales of street life and parties that the motor city inspires in so many of it’s MC’s!
Tanya Morgan have already been compared with some of the greatest acts in Hip-Hop, “Tanya Morgan are like the sons of De La Soul — soulful, stressed, effortlessly smart flows, intricate production, the whole package,” SPIN Music Editor Charles Aaron, and rightly so. Having made tidal waves on the underground seen with last years album “Brooklynati” they have been perfecting their live show and will be blowing up the spot tonight with the energy that flows through their beats & lyrics like an electric current!
Mystro is one of the best loved MC’s to have made his name on the UK scene. Marking the release of his brand spanking new “Digmund Freud” EP on Sept 13th mighty Mys will be delivering the punchlines that have seen him travel the world performing & hosting incredible events as well as collaborating with the likes of Blak Twang, The Nextmen, Masta Ace, Mark De Clive Lowe & Ty to name a few. With huge things lined up for 2010 and his single “Around My Way” already blowing up the airwaves to not miss this chance to see him live!
